The Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 is dedicated to the performance enthusiast. However, the Ventus V12 Evo2 is a summer tire for ultra-high performance driving. Unlike the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2, this tire is at its best when the roads are dry.

However, Hankook managed to infuse the DNA of an all-season tire in the Ventus V12 Evo2, but not by much. What’s hard to ignore is the aggressive directional tread design. The Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 is one of my favorite tires. It costs less than comparable ultra-high performance tires but it performs like a true sporty tire. Of course, there are limits to what this tire can do on the road. This is not the tire to buy for racing or track days. It is more at home in the street and can give your sporty sedan a boost in handling and comfort.

The Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 is a hybrid tire. Hankook merged the qualities of a high-performance and touring tire. The result is higher levels of grip than a humble set of all-season tires. It also manages to remain comfortable even during highly-spirited driving.

Remember the unique tire compound in the Kinergy PT? Hankook did the same with the Kinergy ST. But instead of utilizing carbon black molecules, the Kinergy ST is constructed using a dual-filler compound. This maintains the flexibility of the rubber when exposed to changing weather conditions.

The Hankook Optimo H725 is an economical choice for s standard touring tire. But I have to admit the newer Hankook Kinergy ST H735 offers more features and better attributes. The Kinergy ST is a better touring tire in terms of looks and all-season performance.

So where does the Hankook Optimo H725 fit in? This tire remains an excellent choice for entry-level hatchbacks, compact cars, and small sedans. And that’s about it. But if you have a larger vehicle or a more powerful turbocharged engine, the Optimo H725 will fall short of your expectations.

The Hankook Kinergy ST H735 is primed and ready for 2019! This tire was revealed in 2018 and replaces the Hankook Optimo H727 in the touring category. In some markets, you can still get the Hankook Optimo H727. But if you have a newer car, why place your bets on an older variant when you can get a new and better tire for almost the same price!
